Introduction
At Course Completion Students will have learned how to utilize Solid Edge to design production level parametric models of parts, sheet metal design, assemblies, detail drawings and document management. They will also be familiar with the Solid Edge user interface, adding features, sketching tools and various modeling techniques. Prerequisites Here are the standard pre-requisites for the training course. Potential students should have or completed the following prior to the class:
Lack of Mechanical Design and Windows Experience is very difficult to overcome in the classroom. Students who lack one or both should realize the impact it will have on their learning experience. Just a little exposure to Solid Edge prior to the class can make all the difference. Course Materials and Structure Solid Edge Fundamentals Student Manuals (Volumes 1and 2) will be provided at class time and are yours to keep. In addition training models that accompany the training manual lab exercises will be provided so please remember to bring a USB memory stick. At the end of each lesson or module Instructor questions will be asked of the students. Labs will then be assigned by the Instructor. The number of assigned labs will vary upon time constrains & student learning. There is no official testing so participation is entirely the students responsibility. Note taking is recommended but not compulsory. Students are welcome to follow along with Instructor lead lecture. One desktop workstation per student will be provided unless the class capacity is breached. In which case students may bring their own laptops.
