EDA 1420 - Sheet Metal Training Course

Introduction

This (2) day course covers using Solid Edge modeling functions to build Sheet Metal Parts. This includes creating Tab,Flanges,Gusset,Cross Brake and Flattening the part.It helps you learn the workflows and modeling tools that make you more productive in creating Sheet Metal parts. The instructor will introduce areas of focus for each modeling workflow and then reinforce this topic with well-designed lab exercises.

At Course Completion

Students will have improved their overall Solid Edge Sheet Metal modeling skills. They will have learned the finer points of feature creation, learned to create simple and complex Sheet Metal parts, learned to edit parts to produce a desired contour.Overall, the student will be able show an increase in productivity by more efficient use of Solid Edge thus reducing the design cycle time.

Prerequisites

Here are the standard pre-requisites for the training course. Potential students should have or completed the following prior to the class:

Completion of the Solid Edge Fundamentals Course

Basic understanding of parametric modeling.
